Malware Issues.

11/2/2015

Been a while since I've posted due to some personal issues (moving, wife's health issues, and more I don't want to go into), but I'm still here. I've received multiple emails about RM being detected as malware and I can assure you that they are false positives. It's triggering because of the system keyboard/mouse hooks that RM uses to send commands to applications. Without these hooks there is no way to reliably send those commands to the applications and that would pretty much make RM useless. Those same hooks are what cheaply coded malware use to record key strokes to steal usernames/passwords/CC numbers etc...

As far as further updates to RM, I've had some mishaps in shipping when we moved half way across the country and I'm still trying to piece together the source code for RM from old backups as a large portion of it has been lost (along with a slew of my wife's pictures).

RadialMenu Updates

2/6/2015

I'm releasing RadialMenu updates much less frequently and thought I'd let everyone know that it's still being worked on. Bug reports are trickling in here and there but far less frequently than they were previously and before adding any new features I want to make sure RadialMenu is as stable as it can be. There are few long standing bugs that I've been trying to correct and have been focusing on those.

I don't have the same amount of free time to work on it as I did in the past. I pushed off a few other projects and focused almost exclusively on RadialMenu for a few months and now that trend is reversed.

RadialMenu 0.4.2.306

1/7/2015

Any commands that are using the modifier keys 'Control/Alt/Shift/Windows' keys that can be selected from the drop down box will NOT work with this version, those commands should be changed to use the modifier key selection checkboxes instead. I suggest changing those commands BEFORE installing this version.

- Removed: Modifier keys from key selection combobox for all 'Key' commands. (They all have checkboxes for modifier keys instead).
- Added: Command line option '/hidetoolbar' to hide the toolbar on startup.
- Fixed: Keyboard triggers not working for toolbar or radialmenu.
- Added: Key repeat option to 'Key Hold' command. When checked the key will repeat while it's held, if not checked it acts more like a toggle. This should remedy situation where the space key is a temporary toggle for a function such as in photoshop's pan tool.
- Changed: Toolbar background not completely transparent anymore to prevent accidental clicks in the background in between buttons.
- Changed: Edit buttons should no longer be active if there is no settings available for a command.
- Added: Per profile font size setting for RadialMenu/Toolbar.
- Added: Buttons to set the active profile as the default profile.
- Fixed: Button designer being displayed on wrong screen with multiple displays.
- Fixed: Left mouse button triggers weren't working.

RadialMenu 0.4.0.289

- Added: KeyHold command to hardware button remapping.
- Added: Bunch of missing tooltips.
- Added: Preliminary context sensitive help icons/implementation. Hovering over the '?' icons displays a tooltip.
- Added: Option to disable windows key. Disabling the windows key on the Surface Pro 3 allows proper remapping of the pen's top button.
- Added: Hardware button remapping of up to 5 buttons. This captures keyboard commands, blocks them, and launches the selected command.
- Fixed: With "Auto Profile Switch" turned off, upon activating RadialMenu again the submenu that was previously used would still be active. It now returns to the top level parent menu when RM is closed/hidden.
- Added: Option to disable/enable profile switch notifications.
- Fixed: If toolbar is hidden when 'Minimize To Tray' option is turned off the toolbar will be set to visible.
- Added: Drag handle options to RadialMenu.
